AI Resurrects the Dead 💀
Snapshot 📸
Developers are feeding the data of deceased people to AI models to create digital versions of them. These ‘AI zombies’ imitate the deceased people, letting users simulate interactions with them.
Key Highlights 🔍
Some AI companies let you create videos of deceased people.
LA-based StoryFile lets users create interactive AI videos for their funerals.
The startup Eternos lets users leave behind an AI version of themselves for their families.
Why it's important 🌟
This development demonstrates how AI can help people achieve digital immortality. It also creates ethical issues since some people have used AI to create videos of deceased politicians that may be confused for real.

China Creates Light-Powered AI Chip 🤖
Snapshot 📸
Tsinghua University in Beijing developed a fully optical AI training system, called the Taichi-II chip. Being optically-powered, it’s far more efficient than previous chips.
Key Highlights 🔍
The Taichi-II chip has far exceeded Nvidia’s chips.
The new chip improves the accuracy of classification tasks by 40%.
The new Taichi-II doesn’t have any electronic components.
Why it's important 🌟
This new chip should significantly accelerate the accuracy and efficiency of AI applications. The fact that the Taichi-II came from China also shows the country is becoming a global leader in AI development.

How is Musk’s Grok Different from ChatGPT and Claude.AI?
Elon Musk’s Grok is an open-source LLM trained on X (Formerly Twitter) user data that rivals OpenSource’s ChatGPT and Anthropic’s Claude.AI.
All three B2C LLMs share the same principle: training an LLM on data sets to answer user queries.
The differences are in the details:
Availability
You can get a subscription to GPT 4 or Claude Pro on their respective sites for $20 monthly.
Grok costs $16 monthly and is available directly on the X platform. Unlike the other two, it is also an open-source model.
So developers can use Grok without paying licensing fees.
Data Set
All three LLMs were trained with publicly available data. ChatGPT was trained on the most expansive data sets, while Claude.AI used more limited sources.
Along with public data sets, Grok was also trained on X user data. Unlike ChatGPT and Claude.AI, Grok draws on real-time user data from X to answer queries.
So Grok provides more up-to-date answers than the other two.
Performance
Grok AI generally performs slightly worse than ChatGPT and Claude AI on factual accuracy and creative text generation.
Since it’s trained on social media data, Grok is also biased toward social media sources, so it’s less reliable than the other two.
Conversational style
Both ChatGPT and Claude.AI have neutral and polite conversational styles. Both reject controversial questions and aim to provide sensitive and politically correct answers.
On the other hand, Grok has a witty personality and a rebellious streak. It injects humor into its replies and entertains more controversial questions than ChatGPT and Claude.AI.
Use Cases
ChatGPT and Claude AI are both general-purpose LLMs. You can use them to research, write short content, or solve simple problems.
You can do the same on Grok, plus track real-time developments on X. So, Grok has additional social media marketing and tracking uses that ChatGpt and Claude.AI don’t.
